Readings for the June 2006 Forum

For background reading on Adaptive Leadership™, we recommend you re-read Chapter 4, "Think Politically," from Leadership on the Line, by Ronald A. Heifetz and Marty Linsky.

During the business meeting on June 20, we will have a conversation led by Dr. Susan Zelman regarding the status and plans for high school reform across Ohio. We will discuss technical assistance needs and policy options supporting high school reform. To prepare for that conversation, we recommend you review the following documents.

• The Ohio Department of Education Performance Council’s presentation to the State Board of Education in May 2006 on Quality Middle and High Schools.

• Summary of Governor Bob Taft’s Ohio CORE plan.
